How to Use

Choose Fuel Consumption, Fuel Cost or Driving Range, then fill in the matching fields; results update as you type.

  1. Fuel Consumption: enter distance (km) and fuel used (L) to get L/100 km and km per liter.
  2. Fuel Cost: enter distance, consumption per 100 km and fuel price. Optionally pick 92, 95 or 98 gasoline or 0 diesel from the fuel type menu to fill a reference price, then adjust it to the local price.
  3. Driving Range: enter available fuel (L) and consumption per 100 km to estimate how far you can drive.
  4. Every input must be greater than 0; otherwise the result area tells you which values are needed.
  5. Click Copy Result to copy the current result as text. Click Load Sample Data to switch to Fuel Cost mode with 1000 km, 8 L/100 km and 95 gasoline at 7.9 per liter.

Reference prices are for quick filling only and are not live prices. All calculations run locally in the browser.

Features

  • Fuel Consumption mode: calculate L/100 km and km per liter from distance and fuel used.
  • Fuel Cost mode: calculate total fuel used, total cost and cost per kilometer from distance, consumption and fuel price.
  • Driving Range mode: estimate range from available fuel and consumption per 100 km.
  • Built-in reference prices for 92 gasoline (7.5/L), 95 gasoline (7.9/L), 98 gasoline (8.9/L) and 0 diesel (7.3/L). Selecting a fuel fills the price, which remains editable.
  • Fixed display precision: consumption and fuel volume to 2 decimals, cost per kilometer to 3 decimals, range to 1 decimal.
  • Copy the current result with one click, with a local fallback if the clipboard API is unavailable.
  • All calculations run locally; nothing is sent over the network.

Use Cases

Track real fuel consumption
After each fill-up, enter the trip distance and fuel added to see actual L/100 km and spot unusually high consumption.
Budget a road trip
Estimate total fuel cost and cost per kilometer from planned distance, vehicle consumption and local fuel prices.
Plan refueling stops
Estimate remaining range from the fuel left in the tank and the vehicle's consumption.
Compare vehicles or driving styles
Use the same trip data to compare consumption and cost across cars or driving habits.

FAQ

When should I use each of the three modes?
Fuel Consumption is for measuring the real consumption of a fill-up. Fuel Cost is for estimating trip cost before driving. Driving Range estimates how far the remaining fuel will take you.
Are the built-in fuel prices live prices?
No. The prices for 92, 95 and 98 gasoline and 0 diesel are reference values for quick filling. Use the current price at your local station by editing the price field.
Why is there no result when an input is 0 or empty?
All three modes require positive values. If distance, fuel volume, consumption or price is 0, empty or not a valid number, the tool shows a prompt instead of calculating.
How many decimal places are shown?
Consumption per 100 km, fuel volume and total cost use 2 decimals; cost per kilometer uses 3; driving range uses 1.
Does it support diesel or other fuels?
The fuel menu provides reference prices for 92, 95 and 98 gasoline and 0 diesel. For any other fuel, enter the price manually; the calculation is unchanged.
Is any data uploaded?
No. All calculations happen locally in the browser, and no inputs or results are uploaded.
