Inspecting a used keyboard
Before buying a secondhand mechanical keyboard, ask the seller for a video of this test so you can check every switch remotely.

FAQ

Why do some keys not respond?
Certain system-level shortcuts, such as the Windows key or Alt+Tab, are intercepted by the operating system before the browser can see them, so this is expected behavior.
Can I test key combinations?
Yes. Hold Ctrl, Shift, or Alt and press another key, and the tool highlights every key that is currently held down.
How can I tell whether a key is sticking?
Press the key and release it, then watch whether the highlight disappears immediately. If it stays lit after you let go, the key may be sticking or making poor contact.
Does it work with external and Bluetooth keyboards?
Yes. The tool captures keys through the browser's keyboard event API, which is independent of how the keyboard is connected, so USB, Bluetooth, and wireless keyboards all work.
