How to Use
- Image mode: click the upload area to pick QR code images, or drag them onto it; you can select several at once for batch decoding
- Clipboard mode: copy an image containing a QR code, focus the page and press Ctrl+V (Cmd+V on Mac), or click "Paste from clipboard"
- Excel mode: switch to the "Excel list" tab and upload an .xlsx file containing inserted images; the tool detects which column holds the images, then click "Start decoding" after choosing the column
- For a single image, click "Copy result", and for http/https content you can also "Open in a new tab". Batch results from multiple images or Excel appear in a table where each row can be copied or opened individually, plus a "Copy all results" button
- Click "Load sample QR code" or "Load sample Excel" to walk through the whole flow quickly
Features
- Image decoding: upload by click or drag and drop, with several images selectable at once for batch decoding
- Clipboard decoding: press Ctrl+V to paste a QR code screenshot straight from the clipboard, or read the clipboard image via a button
- Excel list decoding: automatically detects the column holding inserted image objects in an .xlsx file and decodes them in bulk (only the first worksheet in the workbook is parsed, and only inserted image objects are supported — cell background fills and images produced by the IMAGE() function are not)
- One-click copy of any decoded result; when the content is an http/https link, it can be opened in a new tab
- Batch results from multiple images or from Excel are shown as a table, with per-row copy and open plus a copy-all button
- Everything is parsed in the browser — neither your images nor your Excel file is uploaded to a server
Use Cases
Bulk-checking product or logistics QR codes
Decode QR codes embedded in an exported product or shipment spreadsheet in one pass instead of opening each image by hand.
Verifying a screenshot instantly
When a QR code arrives as a screenshot in chat or email, paste it straight into the page instead of saving the file first.
Collecting QR codes from event materials
Upload many QR code images at once, gather every decoded result in one table and copy them all together.
Checking QR content against expectations
Compare the decoded text with what the code should contain, and confirm the link is trustworthy before you ever scan it with a phone.
FAQ
Why can't the tool find the images in my Excel file?
It can only read inserted image objects (floating pictures) in a spreadsheet. Cell background fills and images generated by the IMAGE() function are not supported, so make sure the QR codes were added through Insert > Picture.
Which image formats are supported?
PNG, JPG, GIF, WebP and any other format your browser can decode natively.
Does Excel decoding cover multiple worksheets?
Only the first worksheet of the workbook is parsed at the moment. If your QR codes live on another sheet, move that sheet to the first position before uploading.
Is it safe to open a decoded link directly?
The tool only offers the "Open" button when the content looks like an http/https URL, but QR codes can come from untrusted sources. Always check the address yourself before opening it, and stay alert to phishing links.
